Today we are eagerly awaiting the news from the Labour conference to see if UK businesses will be receiving any gifts from Labour. No indication so far.
It is troubling that a person that who was in the shadow cabinet earning £91k for being an MP with further allowances and expenses couldn’t budget for her own clothes.
"An old friend wanted to donate to my campaign, and what she wanted to do was to help me choose clothes for the campaign trail and for big events.
"I really appreciated that support, it made a big difference to me. It was never something I planned to continue in government.”
£7,500 worth of clothes for a campaign trail and a few events, many will struggle with that concept.
At a time when Consumer Confidence has plummeted, because the government told everyone there were tough times ahead, Labour really do need an announcement that supports their claim that they will be able to cover the costs of their pre-election promises by growing the economy.
Waiting with bated breath for that revelation!
