A Finance Director should be expected to perform the following duties:

• Strategic planning covering risk management, treasury, internal controls and tax strategy.

• Develop and lead the finance teams.

• Support the team with appropriate financial analysis, giving guidance on business drivers, targets and plans. The Financial Director will challenge assumptions and decision-making as appropriate.

• Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth.

• Ensure corporate budgeting/ forecasting processes are accurate and delivered on time.

• Take responsibility for the management of the company’s working capital requirements.

• Prepare and present financial reports to the board, shareholders and other external stakeholders.

• Be responsible for ensuring that requirements of all statutory bodies are met.

• Manage company policies regarding capital requirements, debt, taxation, equity, disposals and acquisitions, as appropriate.
