John Matthews from the Contador Accountancy team was the guest speaker today for the Ipswich Waterfront Innovation Centre based at the University of Suffolk.
John was presenting at an event developed by Heidi Love, the Games Hub Manager from the Business Engagement and Entrepreneurship team.
Heidi wanted to adapt the courses she currently runs for their students in order to help anyone who is thinking of starting up a business or who just wanted to find out more information first.
The students were able to discuss the different types of business models that can be chosen when setting up a business.
John has considerable experience in this field and aided many new start ups, helping with business planning, finances and organisational structures. His first hand knowledge is exactly what the students needed to help them to look in the right direction.
