Daniel English FCCA

Daniel is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant of 17 years with a wide range of experience across both practice and industry. Daniel spent the first 8 years of his career with Ensors (passing all of his exams first time) before moving on to KPMG in 2007. 

 

From KPMG, Daniel made his move in to industry, commencing his journey with a career at Care UK based in Colchester with initial responsibility for group reporting, treasury management, complex consolidations, planning and forecasting before moving in to a business/ commercially focussed role in the residential care sector of the business. Daniel was responsible for recruiting his team of 6 in this latter role and within an aggressively growing business with revenue in excess of £200m across 120 Care Homes, the challenges were ever evolving during his 5 year tenure.

Daniel then assumed the role as financial controller for Crane based in Ipswich - a subsidiary of a large multi national NYSE listed manufacturing business with domestic revenue of £110m and group turnover of £2.6bn. As well as responsibility for SOX reporting, Daniel was responsible for the financial reporting/ controls and commercial reporting for manufacturing operations in China as well as the company’s Distribution Centre in Dubai. With experiential exposure to continuous improvement via Kaizen, JDI and other tools, Daniel’s knowledge and expertise broadened with a strong focus on productivity, elimination of waste and delivery of KPIs – both financial and non-financial.
